Mechanical Question
Published May 30th, 2004 in IditarodMy vehicular ignorance is coming to the fore in this story. When training a team of sled dogs during the summer, a driver hitches them to an ATV. I have NO expericence with ATVs and the only motorcycle owned was a teeny 350 Honda for about two months.
If you ran dogs in this manner, would you have the engine on? I have, just in case, but the vehicle is in neutral. Is it possible for it to be in neutral when the engine is off?
And would the mph (or kph) register if the ATV was running in neutral?
