But not for Lainey. She’s climbing the worst ridge of the race and I had to strand her there in near hurricane gale winds to get ready for work. I sure hope she doesn’t come out of the pages of this book to beat me about the head and shoulders for all the torture I’ve put her through.

Forgot to post yesterday. Wrote almost an entire chapter and was about a hundred words from ending, but had to go to work. So, over 2k on yesterday’s word count.

Today I’m off work and finished another chapter! I estimate at least two more to go, perhaps an epilogue at the end. I just have to get Lainey over Topkok summit, the worst section of trail in the entire race.
