Welcome to the latest installment of the Forward Motion Merry-Go-Round Blog Tour! We’ve gathered several writers from amateur to professional, and we discuss one topic for the month. This month’s theme is the ideal reader.
Despite the straight forwardness of the subject matter, I’ve found little to chew on.What is ‘The Ideal Reader’? Am I supposed to define the title? Blather on about the dearth of Ideal Readers? Praise the ones I have? Write a fictional short short about one? I don’t know. That’s the point of such open-ended topics, I guess. Each writer has the freedom to go wherever he or she wants with it. I tend to be a pretty concrete-thinking person, though, so I’m at a loss.

He smiled as he strolled along the parkway, casually nodding greeting to the other people who had decided today was a beautiful day for a walk. That his fellow pedestrians smirked or recoiled from his appearance meant nothing to him. No, that was incorrect. He winked ludicrously at a little girl, almost laughing when her mother tugged her sharply away. It’s actually quite entertaining.
